The A2 Dairy milk

More than 95% of milk produced in India are regular milk from Jersey and HF cows cross bred with Indian cows or Buffallows. Because these cows give more milk than pure Indian breed cows, Indian cows are pretty much extinct. However, milk that is obtained from these cows are classified as A1. A1 milk contains A1 beta-casein, which is partly broken down to beta-casomorphin- 7 (BCM-7) in the stomach. BCM-7 has been linked with several adverse health effects. In contrast, milk obtained from Desi breed like Gir, Sahiwal etc are classified as A2 which lacks A1 beta-casein and thus is easily digestable. Researchers find that A2 protein present in desi cow milk has medicinal values. We at, The A2 dairy, produce pure and organic A2 milk from Gir cows only without using any growth hormones, antibiotics, and chemicals.This milk is now being recommended by many doctors as it not only helps fight many diseases like diabetes, it helps fast development of brain in children.

Our Farm

The A2 dairy is located at Shankar Nagar, Bariatu-Ranchi and Burham, Silli. This proximity with the city helps us to deliver milk at your doorstep within 2 hours of the milking of the cows, so that any bacterial growth is avoided and what you receive is milk in its purest and healthiest form. The lush green campus at Bariatu, Ranchi, is spread over an area of 3 acres and the campus at Burham, Silli is spread across 13 acres. This huge area is conducive to the good health of our cows which in turn is testimonial to the quality of milk produced. The dairy is self sufficient in terms of Green fodder required by the cows. Since we do not use any artificial fertilisers or chemicals, the milk so produced is 100% organic. At present, we have 110 cows of the Gir and Shahiwal breed, well taken care by a team of 12 people who ensure the care, comfort and cleanliness of these cows. As The A2 dairy is designed to be a residential complex, these people spend their 24 hours with the cows and thus share a strong emotional bond with them. In the morning, an hour before milking, the cows are conditioned for the purpose with sweet flute music. It has been scientifically proven that doing so helps this special breed of cows to produce milk of the highest quality brimming with medicinal values.

About The Promoter

A Civil Engineer by Profession, Mr.A.K Sinha, The Promoter of The A2 Dairy is a strong advocate of The A2 milk. As an engineer he has served for The Govt. of India, The Govt. of Bihar and owns a real estate company. In his persuit of making people's lives healthier, he founded The A2 dairy. The dairy is providing nutritional goodness to a huge consumer base. As a philanthrotic gesture the dairy also donates milk to an old age home everyday.

How it all happens

 

  • farm

    In order to maintain the quality of milk, we get milk from our own cows and do not source it from local farmers. All the cows are of good breed that is Desi Gir and Shahiwal cows and their well being is ensured by trained veterinarians. The cows are housed in a lush green and posh campus and are fed by proteinaceous food so that the milk produced is of the higest quality.

  • quality

    We keep a close eye on even the minutest of detail to ensure that there is absolutely no trace of chemicals, pesticides or toxins.

  • hygienic milking

    The cattle shed is washed several times a day and the milking is done by clean hands and not by machine, because we believe that the natural way is the best way and a dairy should not just be a robotic production firm, where the inherent quality of milk is lost. And we keep all aseptic precautions intact in doing so.

  • chilling

    The milk obtained is packed immediately post milking in clean and sterilised glass bottles. A sample is also retained to run tests on, so as to ascertain the quality of milk and the health of our cows and cattle. These quality checks help us ascertain the health of the cattle.

  • bottling

    Immediately after packing a supervisor seals the bottle with a label so that milk you get cannot be tampered with.

  • delivery

    The milk bottles are loaded in vans and delivery bikes so that it reaches you as early as possible, before any bacterial growth occurs.

  • Boiling is recommended
    within 90 minutes after the delivery
